About Working With Me

As a celebrant, I create and deliver a completely bespoke ceremony for your wedding, funeral, or celebration: one that's written entirely around you, your story, and what matters most to you. Unlike a registrar or a standard religious service, there's no fixed script. We build it together, from the words to the structure to the tone, so the day feels genuinely, unmistakably yours.
Independent celebrant ceremonies aren't currently legally recognised in England, so most couples choose to have a short legal ceremony at a registry office on a different date (often just with witnesses) and then have me lead the ceremony everyone actually attends and remembers. I'm happy to talk you through how this works and help you plan both around each other with as little stress as possible.
I'm based in Berkshire, and while most of my ceremonies are across London, Berkshire and the surrounding counties, I love travelling further afield too, whether that's elsewhere in the UK or abroad for a destination wedding or celebration. Distance has never been a reason to say no to a beautiful occasion, so wherever your day is taking place, do get in touch.
Not at all. I write and deliver ceremonies for weddings, funerals and celebrations of life, vow renewals, and life milestones like baby namings. Whatever the chapter, I'll help you mark it with a ceremony that feels true to you.

For weddings, I'd recommend reaching out as soon as you have a date and venue confirmed. Popular dates get booked up, sometimes a year or more ahead. For funerals, of course, timelines are much shorter, and I do my very best to accommodate you at short notice during a difficult time.
I'll usually arrange an initial call or meeting so we can get to know each other and talk through what you're looking for, with no obligation. If it feels right on both sides, we'll go ahead, and I'll then spend time with you, gathering the stories, details, and moments that will shape the ceremony.
As much or as little as you'd like. Some couples and families want to be closely involved in every line; others prefer to share their story with me and trust me to write it. Either way, you'll always see the final script in advance and have the chance to ask for changes.

Absolutely, and it's something I love being part of. Many couples want that personal, familiar voice on the day but aren't sure how to structure a ceremony that flows well and covers everything it needs to. I can work behind the scenes with you and your chosen person, writing or shaping the script, guiding the structure and pacing, and making sure they feel confident and well prepared to deliver it beautifully. This is priced according to how much support is needed, so get in touch and I'll talk you through it.

With 18 years spent managing events in some of London's most historic and highly detailed venues, from royal palaces to unique museums and historic landmarks, I know just how much care goes into getting the logistics of a beautiful venue right. I'm very comfortable liaising with venue teams, photographers, and other suppliers to make sure your ceremony fits seamlessly into the wider day.
Wonderful! These are often the most meaningful parts of a ceremony. Handfasting, ring warmings, readings from loved ones or something entirely unique to your family are all things we can build in together.

Wedding ceremonies start from £850, with the final fee depending on the type of ceremony, how much time and travel are involved, and how much writing and preparation goes into it.
